Bradford Festival sand sculpture workshops

Sand In Your Eye love being in Bradford, it’s where the company was established and grew! So to be able to be part of the Bradford Festival this year was lovely. We arrived with our pop up sand sculpture workshop. The festival is an incredible mix of music arts, entertainment, information and diversity.

 

When we arrived on Saturday morning, the sun was shining as we set up the sand tables and got ourselves organized. Sand art is a great way for all ages to work together to make something great. We were very busy from when we opened to when we packed up for the evening, who doesn’t love playing with sand?! It was wonderful to see everyone having fun making dolphins, castles, turtles and dinosaurs. A boy taught me everything I didn’t know about different species of dinosaurs and marine life. The weather even held out pretty well on Sunday too despite the scary weather reports.

 

Workshops are wonderful to do, as it’s a great opportunity to engage with lots of different people and ages all sharing the same interest in making something cool in the sand. Events in Bradford get better and better every year, cant wait to see what they will do next!
