Sand In Your Eye Team

We are a sculpture and land art company called Sand In Your Eye based in Hebden Bridge and we are about to relocate our Bradford workshop in February to a large 2,500 square foot studio in Cragg Vale to facilitate workshops and be our new hub.  For this we are also looking for new freelance staff to help us realise our ambitions and join us during our expansion.

Who Are Sand In Your Eye?

For over a decade we have made sculptures from sand & ice and most recently carve pumpkins. We make giant sand drawings on beaches, establishing world records and being as large as 1km long. We innovate and produce our own art projects of which one called the Fallen 9000 featured in TIME magazine.

We work nationally, but are also focusing much of our attention on regional initiatives and our workshop. Please take a look at our website for lots more examples of our work:

What Kind Of People Are We Looking For?

We are looking for people to start working from this spring in our studio in Cragg Vale and on our activities nationally.  We create huge drawings, little and large sculptures and enjoy giving wonderful workshops.  Any experience in these areas would be fantastic.

Additionally, it would be great if folks could bring some expertise to us.  This could be:

  • Photography, animation, film,
  • Website development, social media guru, creative writing,
  • Legal
  • Technicians
  • Jack and Jill’s of all trades.

If you are interested please email or call us on 07412 992 336.  We will be having an open day in the early spring to meet people.  All suitable folks will be given free training.
