Halloween is approaching and with pumpkin carving commissions coming in earlier than ever before, this year we decided to visit Mark from Big Pumpkins, a grower of specialist pumpkins in Preston. We had come across him a few years earlier, but hadn’t managed to make it over to visit him.

So Jamie Wardley, Floss and myself Claire Jamieson headed over in our van. After a delay due to a very noisy exhaust issue we arrived! Mark welcomed us and showed us around. I don’t know who was more memorized by the beautiful pumpkins he had grown, We went over to the field and selected our pumpkins. We were really lucky as it was a lovely sunny day, so while Florence played in the pumpkin patches, Jamie, Mark and Myself picked the pumpkins we wanted to use. With his trusty wheelbarrow, Jamie loaded them and Floss back in the van.
